Das Gasthaus am Reichswald in Kranenburg

Today we ordered and picked up food for the first time at Gasthaus Reichswald, as it is currently not possible to go out to eat on site. My husband loved the braised ox cheeks and I really enjoyed the spare ribs. Thank you for the delicious food. We will certainly make use of your culinary art more often.

We ordered food to go during the lockdown. The organization was great and the food tasted excellent, especially the ox cheeks!

We are often arranged for the family in Nijmegen and spend the night in a hotel. It has become a hobby to judge a hotel based on hospitality, luxury rooms, cleanliness, breakfast and of course the price. This time we have just crossed the border in Germany. Yes, this hotel! What a surprise. The call to reserve a room was also very straightforward and very welcoming. When you arrive you will feel immediately welcome. You will then be personally escorted to your room and invited to relax a little in the restaurant. The room is absolutely quiet, as is the environment. Room is very spacious with many options. There is even a kitchenette. The bathroom is spacious and modern. And then breakfast. Probably no buffet because Corona. A menu of what you can order is a good solution. The variety is enormous. And an espresso or cappuccino can also be ordered. What a party a night at this hotel can be. We thank you for the great hospitality and the quality offered. We have a new favorite!

The inn has very nice and personable owners. Everything is very well renovated and functional. The bed is comfortable and the food and service were perfect too.

We were there for the second time and both times more than satisfied. Very nice service, cozy and, above all, very, very tasty. There is nothing like it in Kleve. We would love to come back.

Here a very nice meal with friendly service (who also speak Dutch if necessary) using a Gift For You voucher. We ended up here by means of this gift certificate, had not heard of it before. The Gasthaus is a few minutes drive across the border at Nijmegen or Gennep. Large car park and also very clean facilities.

An absolute recommendation for everyone who is looking for something delicious to eat in the Kleve district. Small but fine menu, everything fresh and prepared with love, friendly wait staff and really good value for money. I look forward to the next visit ?

Breakfast was good, only really missed the real German sandwiches. They were mini sandwiches that were baked way too early, too bad. Relatively too expensive.

Had breakfast on a Sunday morning. Fortunately, no buffet (never found hygienic), but a very elaborately set table, where every breakfast wish is fulfilled. Coffee / Tea everything unlimited. Delicious fresh products and the chef / owner puts the most delicious egg variations on the table. Absolute must.

Can only give one star, we were there for coffee, the apple strudel didn't taste like it came out of the microwave, the price for a small cup of coffee was very high. We will definitely not stop there a second time

Wonderful atmosphere, lovely personell and delightful food. I would point out only an early morning ringing from a nearby church. However, probably one of the best experience we ever had. Deserved recommendation!

What the chef prepared for us in the kitchen on a normal Tuesday evening was really excellent and unexpected. If my wife and I had known at the beginning of our vacation that dining in the region around Kleve was so good, we would have been here every day. So we will definitely come back next time and enjoy! So whoever is in the Kleve area and does not eat here has definitely missed something. Thanks again for the salmon and the veal cheeks. See you...

Very nice restaurant with a good lunch, diner and dessert options. The menu is traditional German and offers good quality food in normal portions. To be honest the price is a little bit high, but the taste is very good and for that reason I would like to come back. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff is German and Dutch speaking.

We used the take away service this evening. The food was delicious!

So far, I was actually very skeptical about inns. However, this inn surprised me very positively. My room was large and modern. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. Overall, I was very satisfied and would be happy to come back.

Located in a nice sweet village right on the Reichswald where you can make beautiful walks. We were warmly welcomed and Dutch is also spoken. The gasthaus is beautifully modern and all facilities are equally clean, fresh and beautiful. There is ample parking space and a place to sit outside in the summer and even a place to park your horses. The food and drinks were delicious and of a high quality at a more than reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

Very attractive hotel / restaurant. I went for a few nights in December 2019. Rooms are very modern, spacious and neat. Nice (small) bathroom with large shower and rain shower. Very clean all. Convenient parking and separate entrance to get to hotel rooms. Fine coffee machine in the hallway and fridge in the room, incl. Some crockery for small things to use in the room, nice service I think this is for when you are in the room in the evening. Dinner was very good and plenty. In the morning you choose breakfast from a very extensive menu and it is freshly prepared and there is also a buffet with delicious fruit, yoghurt, etc. Very complete and eaten extraordinarily. Very friendly owner and staff. The area is very beautiful for walking and cycling. In December very nice to visit the Christmas market in Kevelaer (which is a beautiful place and atmospheric Christmas market.). But Kleve is also close by and a nice city. to shop.

Very tastefully furnished inn and clean hotel rooms. Perfect for a quiet weekend. The quality of the food and the kitchen deserves 5 stars, the service unfortunately only (oh what the hell) thanks for the nice weekend.

Food is very good: dinner and breakfast are wonderful. Very helpful people, but the service is not fully up and running. The rooms itself are very new and modern. Give them some time and this will be a 5 stars place.
